01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Campus Market — whether through our website at campusmarket.ng or our Android application — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using Campus Market on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Darexcode, the operator of Campus Market.
02 Who Can Use Campus Market
Campus Market is designed for Nigerian university students and campus communities. To use the platform, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Be currently enrolled in or affiliated with a Nigerian university or higher institution
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
We reserve the right to deny access to any person who does not meet these requirements or who provides false information during registration.
03 User Accounts
When you create an account on Campus Market, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, current, and complete information
- Verifying your email address when prompted
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with others, or use another person's account without permission. Campus Market reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.
04 Buyer Rules
As a buyer on Campus Market, you agree to:
- Use the platform only to browse and purchase legitimate products and services
- Communicate with vendors respectfully through WhatsApp
- Not submit false reports or abuse the reporting feature
- Understand that transactions are conducted directly between you and the vendor — Campus Market is a discovery platform, not a payment intermediary for buyer-to-vendor purchases
- Exercise your own due diligence when purchasing from vendors
⚠️ Campus Market is not responsible for the quality, delivery, or fulfilment of products or services sold by vendors. All purchases are made at your own risk.
05 Vendor Rules
As a vendor on Campus Market, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, honest, and complete information about your products and services
- Only list items you are authorised to sell and that comply with Nigerian law
- Fulfil orders you accept from buyers in a timely and professional manner
- Respond to buyer enquiries promptly via WhatsApp
- Keep your listings current and remove items no longer available
- Not list counterfeit, stolen, illegal, or prohibited goods
- Maintain the WhatsApp number on your account as active and reachable
Vendors who consistently receive reports, fail to fulfil orders, or violate these rules may have their accounts suspended or permanently removed from the platform.
06 Payments & Fees
Campus Market operates a freemium vendor model:
- Free Tier (Slots 1–50): The first 50 vendors to register receive free access with no fees required.
- Paid Tier (Slot 51+): Vendors registering after the first 50 are required to pay a one-time fee of ₦5,000 to activate their account and begin listing.
All payments are processed securely via Paystack. Campus Market does not store your card details. Fees are non-refundable once payment has been processed and the vendor account is activated.
Campus Market reserves the right to adjust its fee structure at any time. Existing paid vendors will not be charged retroactively for fee changes.
07 Referral Programme
Campus Market operates a vendor referral programme with the following terms:
- Each approved vendor receives a unique referral code and link
- Referring vendors earn rewards when vendors they refer successfully register and complete payment
- 50 paid referrals → ₦50,000 cash reward
- 100 paid referrals → ₦100,000 cash reward
- Rewards are credited manually upon verification by the Campus Market admin team
- Fraudulent referrals (self-referrals, fake accounts, or manipulated sign-ups) will result in disqualification and account suspension
Referral rewards are subject to verification. Campus Market reserves the right to withhold rewards if fraudulent activity is suspected.
Campus Market reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue the referral programme at any time with reasonable notice.
08 Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Campus Market:
- Listing or selling illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or harmful goods
- Impersonating another person, vendor, or Campus Market staff
- Creating fake accounts or manipulating the referral system
- Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
- Attempting to hack, scrape, or disrupt the platform
- Using Campus Market for any activity that violates Nigerian law
- Sharing your account credentials with others
- Spamming users or sending unsolicited commercial messages
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent banning without refund.
09 Content Standards
All content posted on Campus Market — including product listings, service descriptions, images, and profile information — must:
- Be accurate and not misleading
- Not contain offensive, discriminatory, or explicit material
- Not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Not include personal contact information beyond what is required (e.g. WhatsApp number)
- Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations
Campus Market reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards without notice and without liability to the user who posted it.
10 Intellectual Property
The Campus Market name, logo, design, and all associated branding are the property of Darexcode. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our branding without prior written permission.
By posting content on Campus Market (product images, descriptions, etc.), you grant Darexcode a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of facilitating marketplace activity.
You retain ownership of any content you post and may request its removal by contacting us or deleting your account.
11 Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
⚠️ Campus Market is a marketplace platform. We connect buyers and vendors but are not a party to any transaction between them.
Campus Market is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law:
- We are not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any product or service listed by a vendor
- We are not responsible for disputes between buyers and vendors
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed ₦10,000 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater
12 Account Suspension & Termination
Campus Market reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abuse of the platform, or any other reason we deem appropriate.
If your account is terminated:
- Access to your account and listings will be revoked immediately
- Paid vendor fees are non-refundable upon termination for violations
- You may appeal a suspension by contacting us at darex.pages@gmail.com
You may also delete your own account at any time. Upon deletion, your listings will be removed and your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users by email.
Your continued use of Campus Market after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the platform.
